Top Sound Cards?

I'm looking into buying a new sound card, but it seems like everyone in every forum only talks about creative. I was wondering if anyone has/listened to any sound card that might be better than creative's x-fi.
HT Omega Claro is a card that I think maybe better than x-fi series from looking at review. Not sure if anyone has listened to this card. -
not really sure tbh, I use a usb sound device for my speakers and my headphones. Might get a x-fi one of these days though.

better late than never, but I'm prolly just going to get an x-fi.
I have a x-fi that came with my motherboard (same drivers but not a true x-fi) sounds alright but not that great.
