It is free in beta and they plan to make it free upon release as well.

The game was originally designed without production in mind as a means to test the new Hellgate: London network model, but they discovered that it was so well polished that they might as well continue to production. As a result, most of the costs of production were absorbed by the Hellgate: London budget.

If you want an invite, just send someone with invites (ahem...) a valid e-mail address. That's all that is needed.

As for how to get invites, in alpha, it was if you participated in their pushes (crash, crash, crash... /wrist). Recently, it's simply for being a member.

I didn't think 12 was that hard. Did a few quests, killed some stuff. I even went out drinking last night. I'll try and hop on vent. If anyone else is playing, they can join me.
