Coug hunting

    So I went on my first cougar hunt this past weekend...

    Now, i LOVE hunting, but this struck me as poor sportsmanship....guy who guided us brought a pack of hounds, treed the cat, and expected us to shoot it in the tree.

    I left the shooting to my fellow bowman, as I felt sick at the thought of shooting a treed cat that couldn't run...seems like shooting a trapped animal, to me.

    Oh well, mulie season starts next week, and elk two weeks later.

    I don't hunt, but I can understand the allure of hunting for sport. That doesn't seem like a sport to me, though. What a waste.

    and yes, we ate the beastie...or at least part of it, right at camp, and the guy who took the shot plans on sharing the meat...cougar's good eating.
