Well I know some of you knew I was in school as an aspiring pilot. Since the airline problems I took the safer route and applied for an Air Traffic Control position. Took a test in March and got a 100 on it. This Monday I had an interview in NYC (for a job in Oberlin, OH) as an ATC for Cleveland Center. They offered me the job and gave me a tentative offer letter. As long as my background check passes I will receive a final offer letter in about a month. It takes that long because my security clearance will be top secret level.
They are going to let me finish my last semester of school as well so I can graduate. So looking to start in late December or early January. Unfortunately this means 4 months in Oklahoma City at the FAA Academy before I go to my facility in Oberlin.
But anyways, for those of you who were worried I would be your pilot, now you have to worry about me telling your pilot what to do.
What kind of dinero is that, I had a friend looking to do that and she was saying it's a high bracket.
The 4 months you spend at the academy is on a 20,000 salary + 83 dollars a day.
Once I get to my facility after that its 40,000 but... there are 4 stages of progression through training that take ~2 years to complete them all. Each progression you immediately get around a 15,000 raise, which leaves you at about 100,000 per year after your 2-3 years deep. Based on difficulty of the facility you get more or less money.

high five! sounds to me like you deserve every fucking penny you've got coming for your hard work; i knew kids who couldn't finish a goddamn 2 year tourism degree. the world needs more people like you, and less people like chuck. fgt
