    COD4, i got that. achievements don't unlock anything other than a gamerscore.
    gamerscore is pointless.
    therefore that movie=gay

    true, achievements dont unlock anything -- but there are those (myself included) that will go to great extent to unlock an achievement that isn't a part of normal play (such as the Guitar Hero 3 achievement 'Hendrix Reborn' which calls for you to beat career with lefty-flip on). Some do it for the points because they just like having a higher score then others, I do it because I view it as a challenge and will keep trying until I've accomplished them. I've also had to unlock achievements for friends (scoring a perfect on Rock Band singing on Expert) -- so I guess I'm a whore.
