Good plan. The fastest way to get out there and meet new and exciting people to fill the hole that your girlfriend left is through World of Warcraft.
So what you're saying that english is your second language, with sarcasm being the first?
I know, but I also haven't gamed for more than 5 minutes since I met her, and I'm jonesing bad, so I figured I would oversaturate myself with gaming and hope that it helps get my mind off things.

Gov wins this thread. World of Warcraft is a waste of life, and when you stop playing you'll come to realize how much potentially productive time you've wasted. I'd know.

Improve yourself IRL instead.
Lift weights, do a hobby, crochet, knit, basketball, read, anything.
As long as you still have a social life IRL by all means play WoW, but don't get into raiding or anything that would deprive you of social experiences.

And Final if your priest is healy, you'll probably like the mana regen buff that is happening in 2.4
I don't think his priest is even 70. He's got a mage on manno, you should find someone on horde to tell you when he logs on, and corpse camp him until he logs off.

What change is that? I read the notes a bit didn't notice anything.
And yeah, my priest is 61 (woo!) and is on Silvermoon. Mage is 64 on Mannoroth and I now have a 70 hunter on Arthas! Mike even started playing again! Same with Jimmy!
I started working on the formula the moment test servers went up too.
So after a few hours of work, the new mana regen formula is a function of spi, int and level(class is no longer a parameter), the following data and formula is 100% accurate:
Interesting! I just found a bunch of things and read up on it a bit more. A simple calculator would be fantastic obviously but no one seems to have one up (although I found a xls on elitist jerks).
Here's the thing. The game, all in all, is very entertaining. I tell most of my friends to never start playing this game because the more you play it, the more you wish you were playing it when you aren't. If you are a person of high will power, this game might not get the very best of you. If, like me, you love gaming and all that it's joys, this game will rob you of valuable hours/days/months/years/centuries. I think the moral of my story is: It's best not to play wow because people don't do heroin for the first time with the intention of getting hooked.
Bip is collecting dust. Haven't played for months, and don't plan on starting up again. All that T4/SSC gear gone to waste.
I won't lie though, when the next expansion comes out I'm sure I'll try it again.
The thing that kills you is raiding. I will never get into another MMO that requires me to spend 5 hours at a time in order to MAYBE get something when content starts dwindling.
I dunno preach. Yes, raiding is the primary thing i want to do when i play, but i find that raiding is about 50% of what i do when i play the game. The other 50% go to alts, pvp, farming etc. Any moment of free time I have pretty much go to the game, and I find this to be most troubling.

Speak for yourself, my guild only has official riads for 4 hours a night, 3 nights a week. Of course, we currently have 7/9 BT, 5/5 MH to show for that...

I think I didn't make all my issues with such a playstyle completely clear.
Aside from the time and the "maybe" on getting something, the other problem is I have to schedule my time to sit down and play a game. Honestly, sometimes I didn't feel like playing. Sometimes I had more important things to do, like real life.
Getting kicked out of the guild aside, when you have 20+ people depending on eachother and you to make the raid work, you don't just go "nah I don't feel like it tonight" and do something else.
I'm just not hardcore enough to raid. Sometimes its enjoyable, and sometimes its not. Personally, I think I need a different type of MMO mechanic to remain interested in the long term.
I'm going to give age of Conan a try when it comes out, and hopefully it can hold me over until Darkfall's release, which looks very promising.
24 other people really kick you in the balls when it comes to getting gear. i feel humble like: what makes me better than them. they deserve the loot just as much as i do.
dkp is also the most fair (but the most agonizing) because you'll have that one fucking 17 year old that hasn't seen a nipple that isn't on a piece of paper or a computer monitor since he was an infant, and has about 2.4million dkp for being in every raid since november of last year. yea i actually know a kid like this, and we were both leveling (i stopped playing for 2 months, and he's of course already 70 with t6 shit on a paladin) so i don't know what the hell i'm supposed to do because i do have other priorities that outweigh wow.
