This isnt intended to be political, but I didnt want to just stick it in the General Forum.
Michael Yon is a former US special ops soldier who fought in Afghanistan and after his tour he decided to become an imbed reporter in Iraq. He doesnt necessarily have the credentials of a normal journalist, but he writes well and he does it from the front lines where most reporters dont go. Its hard to read every one of his dispatches as he is fairly prolific, but I wanted to share a few that I just read that were extremely gripping.
I guess there will be a few more released, but for now I highly recommend parts iii and iv. You dont have to agree with the war to read them, you just have to be interested in stories of the troops. Their stories deserve to be remembered =)
