Well, landed at my base at 1330 or so today after many, MANY hours of flying. Flew from Kyrgyzstan to Germany to Ireland to Maine to Sacramento to my base. Feels great to be home, thats for sure!!
Cant beat being apart of the largest brotherhoods there is. I'd definitely do it again. Although...I'm still pissed about the range qualification. I scored a 304...wtf.
Two different shooting quals that are added up for a total score.
Table 1 is known distance, 200 yds, 300yds, and 500 yds. Total score can be up to 250 points. 190-208 or 209 (I forget the actual, might even be 205) is Marksman, 210-219 is Sharpshooter and 220-250 is Expert. Table 2 is shooting faster, doing box drills, etc. More combat oriented. 100 points total, so when added up 250-279 is marksman, 280-304 is sharpshooter, and 305-350 is expert.

Judging by the replies.... "close only counts in horse shoes, hand grenades, and the USAF"!
We only qualify with 100 rounds. I shot 47.50 the last time I had to qualify. I would blame it on the drill instructor yelling at the kid next to me pointing the rifle across the range (dumbass) scaring the shit out of me, but I have noone to blame but myself.
I do have to admit tho, I have had the opportunity to "play" with the AA-12 tho: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4ebtj1jR7c ~quite possibly the only time I have ever proudly messed my pants /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
