    Well if the oil on the surface is going to reduce the amount of water evaporating into the atmosphere, will that reduce the severity/possibility of a hurricane?

    Either that or the darkened color is going to cause it to heat up faster causing more water to evaporate... No one seems to be quite sure.

    I think setting the oil/hurricane on fire would make for a pretty rad hurricane party.
