Depends on what you are using it for really.

If you are just setting up a regular internet connection, might as well stick with the default.



We had 2 wrt54gs set up with ddwrt and used one as a wireless base for our consoles/laptops in the loft of our apartment.

We also were using custom dns, connection priorities for certain hardware, etc.

Thanks Frat! That's exactly what I was wondering about; the only thing I was thinking about doing beyond the default setup beside encryption is prioritizing gaming over bittorrent traffic, and that I can do with the default software.
