Very interesting. I'd heard the encryption was less than airtight some time ago, but the cost update of 30k is mildly upsetting.
But I'd never say anything questionable over a phone line anyway. Phones exist to set up meets, IMO. And most if not all of the people I call usually have a decent idea of why I'd be calling before their phone even rings. No amount of "code" protects you from a warrant, but "hey what're you up to today" is hardly code. I'm not saying I'm Stringer Bell or some shit, but you've got to know that while people might not be listening, your call is no more private than speaking in a crowded mall. Lots of noise around, but if somebody is paying attention they can certainly hear you.
